Currently, I’m loving Yaa Gyasi’s book Transcendent Kingdom. When I want to get a quick short story in Octavia’s Brood is an amazing way to occupy time with a short read. I’m almost finished with Emergent Strategy, as I’ve picked it up and down a few times…but, it’s incredible, it’s just heady and I have to be in the mood to listen and learn. What’s getting a lot of chatter is Black Women Writers at Work and it should. Like Octavia’s Brood it’s a great way to get a short story in that focuses on Black women. And, I mean…What could be better?
